The Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) of Andhra Pradesh at current prices is estimated at ₹16.06 lakh crore in 2024-25 reflecting a 12.94 per cent growth over the same previous year.
As per the advance estimates released in the State Socio-Economic Survey, the growth is driven by balanced performance across the sectors of agriculture, industry, and services.
The agriculture broad sector shows significant growth with a Gross Value Added (GAV) of ₹5.19 lakh crore, registering a growth at 15.86 per cent. The industry sector’s GVA is estimated at ₹3.41 lakh crore with a growth of 6.71 per cent, while the services sector remains a major contributor with a GVA of ₹6.11 lakh crore marking 11.70 per cent increase.
In agriculture, sub-sectors such as horticulture, livestock and fishing had shown substantial growth, with fishing and aquaculture achieving 16 percent growth rate.
The industry sector has seen growth in manufacturing at (6.57 per cent) and construction (10.47 per cent). The services sector has also performed well, with communications growing at 15.28 per cent and banking & insurance growing at 14.61 per cent.
“The per capita income of Andhra Pradesh for 2024-25 is estimated at ₹2,68,653, higher than the national average of ₹2,00,162, indicating improved living standards for the state’s residents,’‘ the 465-pages survey said.
