The CGIB certification is a comprehensive, three-level professional qualification tailored for aspiring and early-career investment banking professionals. Structured to be completed in about 18 months, the program is designed to offer a fast-track yet globally rigorous path to master investment banking.
Course moves from core principles to applied practice
The three levels of the course include Foundation, Strategy, and Applied. It is curated to provide progressive depth, beginning with core principles, advancing to strategic thinking and culminating in practical, real-world application.
Investment Banker’s Foundation is a registered Trust that has developed the “Chartered Global Investment Banker” program.
IBF signs MoU with Vantage as training partner
The Investment Banker’s Foundation has signed an MOU with Vantage Knowledge Academy Ltd as the Official Training partner.
Vantage will deliver the CGIB program through its online learning Management Platform, supported by a faculty team with extensive real-world investment banking experience.
Curriculum blends theory, case studies, and capstone project
The curriculum is designed to be globally relevant, integrating theoretical concepts with case studies, industry simulations and a capstone cross-border deal project to ensure practical readiness.
Training will be delivered online, offering candidates the flexibility to learn at their own pace while also benefiting from live expert-led sessions.
Coverage includes markets, M&A, valuation, regulation, insolvency
The CGIB program curriculum covers the full spectrum of investment banking, including financial markets, mergers and acquisitions, valuation, regulatory frameworks, insolvency, etc. Exams will be held twice a year—in June and December—with on-demand scheduling flexibility.
The program is open to both undergraduates and graduates from any academic background, besides working professionals looking to advance or transition into investment banking and related fields.
