Users might experience a few minor glitches because this feature has recently been made available to some people.

Some beta testers have received the option to create an avatar after updating beta for Android from the Play Store.

After creating an avatar, the application will immediately create a new sticker pack so that users can share stickers with their loved ones.

Additionally, users can select an avatar to use as their profile picture.

Apple will show more app-related ads in App Store from October 25

Apple will show more app-related ads in App Store from October 25

Apple has announced to add more app-related advertisements to the App Store starting from October 25.

The tech giant claimed in an email to developers that more advertisements are coming to the App Store in all nations except China, reports MacRumors.

App-related advertising would start to appear in the Today tab of the main App Store and in a aYou Might Also Like’ section at the bottom of individual app listings.

“With a Today tab ad, your app can appear prominently on the front page of the App Store– making it some of the first content users see when they begin their App Store visit,” the company was quoted as saying.

For the first time, developers will be able to post advertisements in the Today tab, which until now has only shown content that has been carefully chosen by the editorial team of the App Store without any paid placement.

Additionally, with the “You Might Also Like” section, developers can now advertise their apps on the pages of other apps.

According to the report, legal expert Florian Mueller said in a tweet, “You Might Also Like ads are another means of increasing the effective app tax rate, forcing developers to buy ads on their own app pages in order to avoid that others steer customers away from there”.

Google introduces clear calling feature on Pixel 7 to improve call clarity

Google introduces clear calling feature on Pixel 7 to improve call clarity

Tech giant has introduced a new feature called “Clear Calling” in its latest beta update for Pixel 7 series users to improve call clarity.

The call quality enhancer is available for those who download the Android 13 QPR1 (Quarterly Platform Release) beta 3 software update.

According to the Android Authority, during Google’s Pixel launch event earlier this month, the company also unveiled a few new software features coming to the handsets.

As part of those features, Clear Calling was developed, which “automatically filters out background noise and enhances the voice on the other end of the line with machine learning, making it easier to hear the person on the other end of the line, even when they are walking on a windy street or dining in a noisy restaurant,” said in a blogpost.

Users can find this feature in their sound settings if they install the Android 13 QPR1 beta. Simply scroll down to settings, tap on sound & vibration, and then find Clear Calling. Users can toggle Clear Calling on or off once they enter the page.

Users will need to sign up for Google’s beta program before they can get started. There may be bugs and errors in this update due to it being an unstable version, the report added.

Apple watch detects rare cancer in a 12-year-old with heart rate feature

Apple watch detects rare cancer in a 12-year-old with heart rate feature

An has reportedly been credited with spotting a 12-year-old girl’s rare before she was even aware of it, with the help of its heart rate notifications feature.

As reported by Hour Detroit, 12-year-old Imani Miles and her mother Jessica Kitchen now view the as more than just a gadget.

Imani’s mother, Jessica, noticed that her daughter’s started beeping constantly, alerting Imani to an abnormally high heart rate.

“That’s really weird because it’s never happened before. It just kept going off,” said Jessica.

The concerned mother took her daughter to the hospital, where the doctors noticed a tumour in her appendix. It was then that they learnt of a “neuroendocrine tumour” on her appendix, which according to doctors is “rarely seen in children”, the report said.

When the doctors found Imani’s tumour, it had already spread to other parts of her body, requiring her to undergo surgery to remove it.

“If the watch didn’t go off, I probably would have just waited and taken her in the next couple of days,” Jessica was quoted as saying.

“If she didn’t have that watch, it could have been so much worse,” she added.

Imani had surgery at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in the US to remove the remaining tumour, according to the report.

Earlier this month, an Apple Watch had detected a 34-year-old woman’s pregnancy.

The woman posted on Reddit that the watch indicated that her average resting heart rate had significantly increased in just a few days, which made her suspect that something was off.

In July, a woman’s heart was detected with a rare tumour after she received multiple alerts that her heart was in atrial fibrillation.
