HP has introduced its latest Victus Special Edition laptops in India, which are specifically tailored for students. These new models feature 12th Gen Intel Core processors and include a 4GB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050A Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) to handle demanding tasks like design work, data analysis, and gaming.


Apple typically phases out certain existing models following its annual hardware launch event, particularly those that are updated with new versions. With Apple’s “Its Glowtime” event approaching, it’s likely that the company will discontinue some products from its current lineup, including specific iPhone models, AirPods, Apple Watches, and other items.


Microsoft has reportedly confirmed that its AI-powered Recall feature for the Copilot Plus PC platform cannot be removed from the device. Although a recent Windows 11 on Arm update allowed beta testers to uninstall the feature, Microsoft later stated to The Verge that this capability was introduced by mistake.


OnePlus has revealed that its Nord Buds 3 wireless earbuds will debut in India on September 17. The company shared this announcement and confirmed the launch date in a post on X (formerly Twitter).


Samsung is reportedly planning to equip its entire Galaxy S25 series with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, potentially moving away from its previous strategy of using dual-chipsets for its flagship smartphones.


The Vivo T3 Pro 5G is now available for purchase in India. Launched on August 27, the Vivo T3 Pro is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and a 5,500mAh battery. Vivo has marketed the smartphone as the “brightest, thinnest, and fastest curved phone” in its category.

Overall hiring declines in August; AI-ML jobs see 14% growth: Report



While hiring across India’s IT sector remained stagnant with just 1 per cent year-on-year (Y-o-Y) growth in August 2024, jobs in the artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) domain witnessed a sharp 14 per cent increase on a yearly basis during the month, according to data from job portal Naukri.com released on Monday.


The overall white-collar hiring activity during the month witnessed a dip of 3 per cent on a yearly basis in August this year, said the report.


Further, apart from AI-ML jobs, the other sectors which saw a boost in hiring during the month were fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) with an 11 per cent growth rate, pharma and biotech with a 9 per cent rise, and the oil and gas sector with a 5 per cent increase in hiring activity in August 2024 compared to the same period last year.

Despite market corrections, senior professionals remain in high demand, the report found.

Apple will use organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays for all iPhone models sold in 2025 and afterwards, moving completely away from liquid crystal displays (LCDs), Nikkei business daily said.


The planned move will exclude Japan’s Sharp Corp and Japan Display from Apple’s handset business, Nikkei said.

 


Apple has started placing orders for OLED displays for the upcoming iPhone SE from China’s BOE Technology and South Korea’s LG Display, Nikkei also said, citing several components suppliers.

 


Sharp and Japan Display had a combined 70% share of iPhone displays about a decade ago but had supplied LCDs only for the iPhone SE recently and do not mass-produce OLED displays for smartphones, the paper said.

 


Both companies declined to comment on the report.

Samsung is expected to launch its Fan Edition (FE) variant of the flagship Galaxy S24 smartphone in the coming months. The anticipated Galaxy S24 FE is expected to feature a design similar to the Galaxy S24 smartphone with minor changes such as thicker bezels around the display. 


Although Samsung has not officially confirmed its existence, the Galaxy S24 FE smartphone has appeared on various certification databases, including the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification website. 


Samsung Galaxy S24 FE: What to expect


Samsung’s Fan Edition models generally offer features and specifications similar to the flagship counterpart. However, Galaxy FE smartphones are much more competitively priced and offer a less premium feel. The anticipated Galaxy S24 FE would likely be a similar case.


Design: The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is expected to look similar to the regular Galaxy S24 with a vertically aligned triple camera set up at the back and a flat aluminium frame. However, the smartphone is expected to feature a plastic body and more prominent bezels around the display. Chinese consumer electronics brand OnePlus has announced that its Nord Buds 3 wireless earbuds will be launched on September 17 in India. OnePlus teased the Nord Buds 3 and confirmed the launch date in a post on X (formerly Twitter). 


The image shared in the post offers a glimpse of the design of the charging case and a product page for the OnePlus Nord Buds 3 has appeared on the OnePlus India website. According to the product page, the earbuds will be available in two colour options.


The Nord Buds 3 are expected to be a more affordable version of OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro. Similar to the Pro variant launched in July, the Nord Buds 3 appears to feature a charging indicator. Here are details:


OnePlus Nord Buds 3: Expected Specifications


Ahead of its launch, probable images of the OnePlus Nord Buds 3 have surfaced on the Internet. It suggests that the design of the earbuds will be similar to the OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro. The OnePlus Nord Buds 3 are expected to feature a boxy design with silicon tips.


OnePlus Nord Buds 3 are expected to feature a dual tone charging case with glossy lid and charging case with matte finish. The charging case is expected to feature a Type-C port. 


According to gadget discovery website 91mobiles, the wireless earbuds will feature 12.4mm Titanium drivers and provide up to 32dB of Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) along with 3D audio. The upcoming OnePlus TWS will support dual pairing and include Google Fast Pair. 


The OnePlus Nord Buds 3 are expected to offer up to 43 hours of battery life and a 94ms low latency mode, and will have TUV Rheinland Battery Health certification. Additionally, these earbuds will incorporate a new BassWave 2.0 algorithm. The colour options for the OnePlus Nord Buds 3 are anticipated to be Harmonic Gray and Melodic White.

The Nord Buds 3 Pro come with Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) that can reach up to 49dB and a frequency range extending to 4,000 Hz. These advanced wireless earphones are equipped with a 12.4mm driver for delivering clear sound. They also use BassWave 2.0 technology, designed to provide “pulsating bass tones” as claimed by the company. Additionally, for phone calls, the earbuds include a 3-microphone setup that reduces background noise.
