Japanese video game developer FromSoftware is now rolling out the “Shadow of the Erdtree” game expansion for its Elden Ring videogame. Touted as the largest expansion to date by the company, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree brings an entire new storyline, new weapons, skills and equipment along with increased players Role playing freedom.


Shadow of the Erdtree is available as a downloadable content (DLC) for the Elden Ring game and requires the base game to be playable. The video game is supported on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox series X and Series S alongside PCs.


Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree: Price and availability


Shadow of the Edtree expansion is now available for the Elden Ring video game across console and PCs in India. The DLC is available in standard expansion version and in a Premium Bundle. While the standard version offers new story, weapons, in-game items and new characters, the Premium Bundle comes with a Digital artbook and original soundtrack.


According to the listing on videogame library platform Steam, the Shadow of the Edtree expansion DLC is priced at Rs 2,399 for standard version and Rs 2,999 for premium bundle.


Prices for the console version can differ but will be across the same line as the PC version. Additionally, FromSoftware has said that a single download code for the expansion can be used on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, or Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.


Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree: Details


FromSoftware said that the Shadow of the Erdtree video game expansion takes players beyond the Lands Between to explore the Land of Shadows which is a completely new set up for the Elden Ring game. Players will have the capability of travelling back and forth between the maps. The DLC will also add new weapons, equipment, weapon skills and magic which were not previously found with the standard version of the game. The expansion also brings new enemies, boss encounters and plotlines.


As for the new storyline, the developer said that guided by Empyrean Miquella, players are beckoned to the Land of Shadows, a place obscured by the Erdtree. In this new world, players discover the dark secrets of the world as they meet others who follow in Miquella’s footsteps with ulterior motives.

The OPPO A3 Pro smartphone boasts a reinforced chassis, drop resistant materials, and an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, said the company. The OPPO A3 Pro smartphone comes with the company’s All-Round Armour Body and a reinforced internal structure. According to OPPO, the smartphone’s components are made up of a suite of drop-resistant materials like Blue Glass double tempered glass on the display. The company said that key internal components of the smartphone are also cushioned with a Biomimetic Sponge for shock absorption. Leveraging these durability features, the OPPO A3 Pro smartphone has received SGS Drop-Resistance Certification (Standard) and SGS Military Standard Certification – according to the company. Hindustan Zinc Ltd on Friday said it has partnered with US-based AEsir Technologies, Inc for development of next-generation zinc batteries.


The company has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with AEsir Technologies, Inc., a company that specialises in next-generation zinc battery technologies, to be the preferred supplier of zinc, a key raw material, Hindustan Zinc Ltd (HZL) said in a statement.


The MoU is in line with the company’s efforts towards exploring emerging applications of zinc in the clean energy transition, it said, adding that zinc batteries are revolutionising energy storage due to their corrosion resistance, cost-effectiveness, recyclability, stability and environmental friendliness.


“This partnership with AEsir Technologies is yet another step in our ongoing developmental work in the emerging clean technology space.


“By providing high-quality zinc for cutting-edge energy storage, we are opening sophisticated new avenues for environmentally friendly solutions for a greener tomorrow,” HZL Chief Executive Officer Arun Misra said.


AEsir Technologies CEO and Co-Founder, Randy Moore said energy storage is at the forefront of every major innovation in the energy transition space and “zinc batteries are the best story around energy storage”.


“…This collaboration with Hindustan Zinc provides us with critical raw material for the development of next-gen nickel-zinc batteries,” Moore added.


AESir’s Nickel Zinc (NiZn) batteries have proven dependable and successful in the high-end defence sector, including aerospace and marine, renewable energy and critical infrastructure for data centres and 5G telecom, the statement said.


Zinc-based batteries have emerged as a compelling alternative to other modern energy storage solutions, delivering higher power at lower costs with minimal maintenance and longer life spans of up to 20 years. This makes them ideal for large-scale energy storage in industrial settings, it added.

Samsung is reportedly planning a major design overhaul for its upcoming Galaxy Buds 3 wireless earbuds. According to a report by The Verge, Samsung would likely depart from its rounded buds-like design in favour of an Apple AirPods inspired design with the Galaxy Buds 3. The report also stated that Samsung might be working on a Pro version of the Galaxy Buds 3 as well, which would feature a similar design.


Samsung is anticipated to unveil the Galaxy Buds 3 series along with its next-generation watches and foldable devices at the Galaxy Unpacked event, which is expected on July 10.
