With this, users will be able to quickly modify information sent from Chat apps, such as, changing the assignee on a task card or changing the due date on a task card, and selecting or deselecting options on a card.


Last week, Google announced a new feature to its video-communication service ‘Google Meet’, which will allow users to include captions in a meeting recording.


The new feature will help make meeting recordings more useful and accessible for meeting participants.

Instant messaging platform has finally started rolling out picture-in-picture mode for video calls on iOS, as spotted earlier by 9to5Mac, reported The Verge, an American technology news website.


According to the outlet, this feature, which first started testing last year, lets users open up other apps during video calls without any disruptions.


will reduce your video call to a small window that sits atop whichever app you go to, similar to FaceTime’s picture-in-picture mode. This enables you to participate in the call while looking up information online, reading a relevant book, or even playing a game.


The most recent WhatsApp update for iOS (version 23.3.77) gives users access to picture-in-picture mode, although you might need to wait a little while before using it as WhatsApp says this feature will roll out the feature “over the coming weeks” and the same goes for the handful of other features bundled in the update, reported The Verge.

Google to soon migrate Calendar, Assistant Reminders to ‘Google Tasks’







Tech giant has announced that it will soon migrate Reminders from Calendar and Assistant to Google Tasks to create a single experience for managing to-dos across Google.


For personal accounts, this migration will appear starting March 6, the tech giant said in a Workspace Updates blogpost on Friday.


“If you’re a Google Workspace customer with the Tasks service ON in your organisation, your end users can voluntarily migrate beginning April 12, 2023.”


With the change, users will be able to see and manage all of their to-dos in one place – Tasks.


Users will be able to leverage features in Tasks such as organising to-dos with multiple lists and adding descriptions for extra organisation.


“Reminders created in Keep will not be migrated to Tasks – they will still be available in Keep, but they will no longer be displayed in once the migration is complete,” the company mentioned.


In September last year, the tech giant had announced that it would soon be simplifying its task management solutions by migrating Assistant and Calendar Reminders to Google Tasks.

Micro-blogging platform has announced that it will no longer allow non- Blue users to use text messages as a two-factor authentication (2FA) method, after March 20.


Also, users will now not be able to enroll in the text message/SMS method of 2FA unless they are Blue subscribers, the company said in a blogpost.


After March 20, non-Blue accounts with text message 2FA still enabled “will have it disabled.”


Currently, the platform offers three methods of 2FA – text message, authentication app and security key.


The company further mentioned that it “encourages” non-Blue users to “consider using an authentication app or security key method instead.”


“These methods require you to have physical possession of the authentication method and are a great way to ensure your account is secure,” it added.


Meanwhile, last week, had confirmed that it will charge Rs 650 per month for its Blue service with verification on the web and Rs 900 on Android and iOS mobile devices in India.


In December last year, the micro-blogging platform relaunched its Blue subscription service with verification, costing $8 for Android users and $11 for iPhone owners per month globally.


Moreover, Blue subscribers in the U.S. can create long tweets of up to 4,000 characters.


Blue users will also see 50 per cent fewer ads in their home timeline.
