Kishore Alva, Chairman of ASSOCHAM Karnataka State Council
The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) has appointed Kishore Alva, Executive Director and President of Adani Group in Karnataka, as the Chairman of its Karnataka State Council for 2026-27.
Alva brings over three decades of extensive experience spanning multinational corporations, energy, infrastructure, and international trade relations. Over the years, he has held key leadership and strategic roles in organisations such as Cogentrix, CLP-I, Unocal 76, and the US-India Business Council (USIBC), contributing significantly to business development, policy advocacy, and institutional strengthening.
A media statement said that Alva will spearhead initiatives aimed at fostering industry growth, enhancing ease of doing business, and strengthening collaboration between industry and government during his tenure as Chairman of ASSOCHAM Karnataka State Council. His focus areas are expected to include promoting investments, supporting MSMEs, encouraging innovation, and facilitating policy advocacy aligned with Karnataka’s economic priorities.
Quoting Alva, the statement said his emphasis would be on building a resilient and future-ready industrial ecosystem in Karnataka by leveraging technology, sustainability, and global partnerships. He reiterated his commitment to working closely with stakeholders to position Karnataka as a leading investment and innovation hub.
