Stock market LIVE updates: Domestic equities were ruling higher on Friday as the Fed pivot-driven rally continued on Street. The S&P BSE Sensex hit a record high of 71,084, up 571 points, while the Nifty50 hit the 21,356 level, up nearly 170 points.
Infosys (up 4 per cent), HCL Tech, LTIMindtree, TCS, Hindalco, JSW Steel, Tech M, ONGC, Wipro, M&M, Tata Steel, UPL, Adani Enterprises, Coal India, BPCL, Tata Motors, NTPC, and L&T were the top gainers in the 50-pack index.
On the downside, HDFC Life, Nestle India, SBI Life, Axis Bank, Britannia, ITC, and Bajaj Finserv were the top laggards.
In the broader markets, the BSE MidCap and SmallCap indices were ruling 0.23 per cent and 0.75 per cent higher, respectively.
Among sectors, the Nifty IT index rallied 3 per cent, the Nifty Metal 2 per cent, and the Oil and Gas index 1 per cent.
