Sundaram Home Finance has further expanded its presence in Chennai by opening a new branch in Ambattur, a rapidly growing industrial hub on the city’s western outskirts. This follows the company’s launch of an Emerging Business (EB) branch in Tambaram earlier this year.

The company aims to achieve ₹50 crore in disbursements from its Chennai Zone in the EB segment, which includes small business loans and affordable housing finance, over the next 12 months. The new Ambattur branch will also cater to the company’s prime home finance customers.

“Ambattur is fast growing into a separate township with rapid industrialisation and a large number of manufacturing and IT firms in the area. In addition to targeting the prime home finance customers, we will also be looking to provide working capital finance to the growing small businesses in the western hub of Chennai as well as tap into the opportunities in the affordable housing finance segment in this region,” D Lakshminarayanan, MD, Sundaram Home Finance said.

Earlier this month, Sundaram Home Finance also opened four new Emerging Business branches in Arani, Ambur, Gudiyattam, and Thirupathur in North Tamil Nadu, further strengthening its network across the state.
