Centum Electronics bags Rs 108-cr order from DRDO


Centum Electronics informed that it has received an order from Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) worth Rs 109.58 crore.

The order includes intersatellite link & other payload subsystems to be executed within a period of 16 months. The value of the contract is Rs 108.58 crore.

Centum Electronics is in electronic system design and manufacturing, manufactures high end electronics modules, subsystems and systems used in the aerospace, defence, and industrial electronic sectors.

The companys consolidated net profit slumped 364% to Rs 3.84 crore in Q1 FY25 as against Rs 1.45 crore posted in Q1 FY24. Net sales marginally rose to Rs 238.81 crore in Q1 FY25.

The scrip had jumped 5.55% to end at Rs 1,704.30 on the BSE on Friday.

Emami has entered into a Binding Agreement with Helios Lifestyle (Helios) which is well known for its premium men’s grooming brand ‘The Man Company’ to acquire 100% ownership by acquiring the balance 49.60% stake. Helios is already a subsidiary of Emami, where Emami currently holds 50.40% stake.

Hazoor Multi Projects bags orders worth Rs 70 cr


Hazoor Multi Projects announced that it has received orders from Welspun Enterprises and B.G. Shirke Const. Tech. aggregating to Rs 70 crore.

The first order has been received from Welspun Enterprises for stacking and dewatering works. The value of the project is Rs 40 crore.

Further, the firm received another order from B.G. Shirke Const. Tech. Pvt. Ltd. for excavation of various site located at Pahadi Goregaon, Thane and Kanamwarnagar. The value of this project is Rs 30 crore.

Hazoor Multi Projects’ current market capitalisation is Rs 871.41 crore on the BSE.

Hazoor Multi Projects is engaged in the business of real estate and road construction. The companys net profit slipped 99.6% to Rs 0.08 crore while net sales tumbled 79% to Rs 34.16 crore in Q1 FY25 over Q1 FY24.

The scrip closed 5% higher at Rs 467 on Friday, 30 August 2024.

Gold Price Today: The price of 24-carat gold dipped Rs 10 in early trade on Saturday, with ten grams of the precious metal trading at Rs 73,140 according to the GoodReturns website. The price of silver declined Rs 100, with one kilogram of the precious metal selling at Rs 88,300.


The price of 22-carat gold fell Rs 10, with ten grams of the yellow metal selling at Rs 67,040.


The price of ten grams of 24-carat gold in Mumbai is in line with prices in Kolkata and Hyderabad, at Rs 73,140.


In Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chennai, the price of ten grams of 24-carat gold stood at Rs 73,290, Rs 73,140, and Rs 73,140, respectively.


In Mumbai, the price of ten grams of 22-carat gold is at par with that in Kolkata and Hyderabad, at Rs 67,040.


In Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chennai, the price of ten grams of 22-carat gold stood at Rs 67,190, Rs 67,140, and Rs 67,140, respectively.

US gold slipped 1 per cent on Friday as the dollar and Treasury yields firmed after US inflation data matched expectations, but the bullion is set for a monthly gain as a September interest rate cut by the Federal Reserve remains in play.


Spot gold fell 0.9 per cent to $2,497.53 per ounce as of 01:42 p.m. ET (1742 GMT) and US gold futures settled 1.3 per cent lower at $2,527.6.


Bullion gained 2 per cent this month after prices rallied to an all-time high of $2,531.60 on Aug 20.


Spot silver eased 2.2 per cent to $28.78 per ounce and platinum fell 1.2 per cent to $926.65. Both the metals registered monthly losses.


Palladium retreated 1.7 per cent to $963.34, but posted a 4.3 per cent monthly gain.
