यह मुकाबला लाहौर कलंदर्स और हैदराबाद किंग्समैन के बीच खेला गया था. मैच के दौरान खिलाड़ियों द्वारा गेंद को चमकाने के लिए जर्सी और तौलिये का इस्तेमाल किया जा रहा था. सोशल मीडिया पर दावा किया जा रहा है कि हैदराबाद टीम की जर्सी का रंग घटिया क्वालिटी का था, जो गेंद पर लग गया और सफेद गेंद धीरे-धीरे गुलाबी दिखने लगी.  गेंद का रंग इतना बदल गया कि अंपायरों को मजबूर होकर पहली पारी के करीब 15 ओवर के बाद गेंद बदलनी पड़ी. 

सोशल मीडिया पर उड़ा मजाक

इस घटना के बाद फैंस ने सोशल मीडिया पर पीएसएस का जमकर मजाक उड़ाया. कुछ यूजर्स ने इसे “पिंक बॉल टी20” तक कह दिया, तो कुछ ने लीग की तैयारियों और गुणवत्ता पर सवाल खड़े किए. कई लोगों ने कहा कि इस तरह की गलती प्रोफेशनल लीग में नहीं होनी चाहिए.

मैच का हाल भी रहा एकतरफा

मैच की बात करें तो लाहौर कलंदर्स ने पहले बल्लेबाजी करते हुए 20 ओवर में 199 रन बनाए थे. टीम के स्टार बल्लेबाज फखर जमान ने 53 रन की अहम पारी खेली और उन्हें प्लेयर ऑफ द मैच चुना गया. जवाब में हैदराबाद किंग्समैन की टीम 130 रन पर ही सिमट गई और 69 रन से मैच हार गई.

नई टीम पर उठे सवाल

हैदराबाद किंग्समैन इस सीजन की नई टीमों में से एक है, लेकिन अपने पहले ही मैच में इस तरह की गलती ने उनकी तैयारियों पर सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं. जर्सी की खराब गुणवत्ता को लेकर भी काफी आलोचना हो रही है. During Lahore Qalandars turn to bat at Gaddafi Stadium the white ball slowly turned pink. The change was easy to see after the ball was used times. The umpires checked it. Replaced it around the 15th over.

Some possible reasons for the color change:

* The dye from Hyderabad Kingsmens maroon jerseys might have caused the color change.

* Bowlers might have used their jerseys to shine the ball making the color change happen faster.

Tournament restricted to Lahore and Karachi

The tournament has undergone several significant changes this year. Originally planned to be held across six venues, the PCB has decided to restrict all matches to just two cities, Lahore and Karachi. All games will be played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and National Bank Stadium in Karachi. This decision aims to reduce travel and simplify logistics.

The revised schedule includes the first 14 matches in Lahore, followed by a series of games in Karachi. The playoffs will also be split between the two cities, with the Qualifier shifted to Karachi, while Lahore will host the Eliminators and the final on May 3.

In another major development, the initial phase of PSL 2026 will be played behind closed doors without spectators. The PCB cited the ongoing regional crisis and fuel related austerity measures as the reason for this decision.
