Sunrisers Hyderabad Playing 11: 28 मार्च को जब सनराइजर्स हैदराबाद IPL 2026 का सबसे पहला मैच खेलने मैदान में उतरेगी, तो उसके बल्लेबाज पिछले सीजनों की तरह तूफानी स्ट्राइक रेट को कायम रखना चाहेंगे. अभिषेक शर्मा, ईशान किशन और हेनरिक क्लासेन जैसे सितारों से सजी ये टीम विस्फोटक बैटिंग स्टाइल के लिए फेमस है. अब दिग्गज ऑलराउंडर लियाम लिविंगस्टोन भी हैदराबाद टीम के साथ जुड़ गए हैं.

सनराइजर्स हैदराबाद एक बार चैंपियन (2016) बनी है और आखिरी बार 2024 के फाइनल में पहुंची थी. अगर उसी प्रदर्शन को दोहराना है तो जान लीजिए SRH के लिए कौन सा प्लेइंग इलेवन कॉम्बिनेशन सबसे ज्यादा फायदेमंद रह सकता है.

SRH की बेस्ट प्लेइंग इलेवन

ट्रेविस हेड और अभिषेक शर्मा की ओपनिंग जोड़ी सेट है. दोनों एक बार फिर 2024 वाले प्रदर्शन को दोहराना चाहेंगे जब SRH की टीम लगातार पावरप्ले में ही 70-80 रन बना रही थी. नंबर-3 पर ईशान किशन होंगे, जो पैट कमिंस की गैरमौजूदगी में टीम की कप्तानी कर रहे होंगे. किशन भी शानदार फॉर्म में हैं और टी20 वर्ल्ड कप 2026 में तीन अर्धशतक सहित 317 रन बनाकर आ रहे हैं.

हेनरिक क्लासेन अंतर्राष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट को अलविदा कह चुके हैं और एक फ्रेश माइंड के साथ IPL 2026 में उतरेंगे. पिछले सीजन उन्होंने 487 रन बनाए थे. उनके बाद नीतीश कुमार रेड्डी आ सकते हैं और इस बार लियाम लिविंगस्टोन टीम के मिडिल ऑर्डर और ऑलराउंड डिपार्टमेंट को मजबूती दे रहे होंगे. हालांकि पिछली 17 आईपीएल पारियों में वो सिर्फ 224 रन बना सके हैं. पिछले सीजन 166 के तूफानी स्ट्राइक रेट से बैटिंग करने वाले अनिकेत वर्मा को इस बार भी मौका मिलने की संभावना होगी.

तेज गेंदबाजी का भार हर्षल पटेल, जयदेव उनादकट संभाल सकते हैं. चूंकि पहले कुछ मैचों में पैट कमिंस नहीं खेलेंगे, ऐसे में तीसरे तेज गेंदबाज का रोल ब्रायडन कार्स निभा सकते हैं. वहीं सनराइजर्स हैदराबाद के पास कोई अनुभवी लीड स्पिनर नहीं है. संभव है कि हर्ष दुबे को मुख्य स्पिनर की भूमिका सौंपी जा सकती है.

Various media reports had suggested that the star batter requested dedicated chartered flight access between India and London to be available throughout the two month tournament.

The rumors went as far as claiming that Kohli had informed the RCB franchise of his intent to fly to London whenever a three day gap occurred between matches. According to these unverified reports, he allegedly planned to return to India only 24 hours before the team’s next scheduled fixture.

Kohli, however, was quick to address these claims with his trademark wit. Taking to his Instagram story, he shared a screenshot of the report accompanied by two laughing emojis, effectively rubbishing the speculation and signaling to fans that the story was entirely baseless.

Chasing History in the Title Defense

RCB is set to begin their title defense against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 28 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Following a historic 2025 season where Kohli secured his first IPL trophy in his 18th year with the franchise, the legendary batter is entering the new campaign focused on personal and team milestones.

Statisticians are closely watching Kohli as he stands on the precipice of several historic records. With 8,661 runs across 267 matches—including eight centuries and 63 fifties; he is currently laser focused on becoming the first player in IPL history to breach the 9,000 run mark. Furthermore, having amassed 9,085 runs for RCB across the IPL and the defunct Champions League T20, a successful 2026 season would make him the first player ever to score 10,000 runs for a single franchise in T20 cricket.

This pursuit of excellence follows a stellar 2025 run where Kohli finished as RCB’s leading run scorer and the third highest overall in the tournament, racking up 657 runs at an average of 54.75 and a strike rate of 144.71.

 The Pakistan Super League (PSL) will begin as scheduled on March 26, but only at two venues, with no spectators, to conserve resources such as petrol amid the Gulf war, Pakistan cricket chief Mohsin Naqvi announced on Sunday. 

The decision followed an extensive meeting with the eight franchises and a consultation with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

“Pakistan Super League will start as per schedule on March 26 as we have to safeguard its credibility and there was no window to stage it later,” Naqvi said at a press conference in Lahore.

A new PSL schedule will soon be announced, featuring only two venues, Lahore and Karachi. Peshawar, Multan, Rawalpindi, and Faisalabad have been removed from the schedule to reduce fuel consumption and conserve resources, as fuel is now tightly regulated by the government.

“I apologise to the fans of Peshawar who were due to watch the PSL matches for the first time and hope they get more matches next time,” said Naqvi.

The high-profile opening ceremony has been cancelled to save more resources. Naqvi mentioned that most international players are expected to arrive early Monday to prepare for the matches.

Reports from Telecom Asia Sport previously indicated that foreign players, particularly Australians, faced difficulties in passing through the Gulf region to reach Pakistan. However, Naqvi now presents a different perspective.

Naqvi warned that he would pursue legal action against foreign players who either fail to show up or abandon their PSL contracts in favour of more lucrative Indian Premier League (IPL) offers.

Blessing Muzarabani from Zimbabwe and Dasun Shanaka from Sri Lanka both joined the IPL after signing with PSL teams.

Naqvi also announced that all franchises will receive financial compensation for the loss of gate money caused by the absence of crowds.

In a major blow for Pakistan Super League (PSL), Sri Lankan all-rounder and T20I captain Dasun Shanaka has reportedly opted out of his contract with Lahore Qalandars to join Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026.

Shanaka is set to be signed by the Rajasthan Royals for the upcoming IPL 2026 season as a replacement of the injured England all-rounder Sam Curran, who was earlier ruled out due to a groin injury. This marks yet another high-profile exit from the PSL ahead of its upcoming season, highlighting the growing pull of the IPL for overseas stars.  

Notably, the 34-year-old Shanaka went unsold at IPL 2026 mini-auction in Abu Dhabi last December. Later, he was signed by Lahore Qalandars in the PSL 2026 auction for PKR 75 lakh. The Sri Lankan cricketer has informed the Qalandars of his decision to withdraw and the formalities for the switch from PSL to IPL are reportedly being finalized.

“Yes, we’re close to signing him. A few formalities are pending. He has to complete some paperwork with Sri Lankan Cricket (SLC),” a top official from Rajasthan Royals told Cricbuzz.

IPL Over PSL 

Notably, Dasun Shanaka has become the second high-profile player in recent times to trade a PSL stint for the IPL. He follows Zimbabwe’s Blessing Muzarabani, who pulled out of his PSL contract with Islamabad United to join the Kolkata Knight Riders for IPL 2026 season.

The latest development has dealt a fresh setback to the PSL’s credibility among fans and observers. Pakistani supporters have expressed frustration online, with many pointing to a pattern of overseas players prioritizing the IPL’s glamour, bigger paydays, and global exposure over commitments in the PSL.

Notably, players are increasingly making the call to opt for the lucrative financial rewards of the IPL, even if it means walking away from active PSL commitments with two leagues often overlapping.

While many players have shifted the other way – opting for PSL after going unsold in IPL auctions – a select few have ditched their PSL commitments to secure IPL contracts.

Why Rajasthan Royals Chose Dasun Shanaka?

The decision from Rajasthan Royals to bring in Dasun Shanaka is not surprising. RR head coach Kumar Sangakkara is from Sri Lanka, while assistant coach Vikram Rathour recently served as Sri Lanka’s batting coach during the T20 World Cup 2026, when Shanaka led the side. Though the co-hosts Sri Lanka failed to reach semifinals, Shanaka impressed with two half-centuries in the tournament.

As the Sri Lankan T20I captain, Shanaka brings a wealth of international leadership experience to a Royals squad now led by Riyan Parag.

इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग की वजह से पाकिस्तान में खलबली मची हुई है. दरअसल जो खिलाड़ी PSL में खेलने वाले थे, उनमें से कुछ क्रिकेटर IPL में आ गए हैं. इसको लेकर पाकिस्तान क्रिकेट बोर्ड के चेयरमैन, मोहसिन नकवी बुरी तरह बौखला गए हैं. उन्होंने आईपीएल में जाने वाले खिलाड़ियों को खुलेआम धमकी दे डाली है.

पहले जिम्बाब्वे के ब्लेसिंग मुजरबानी, इस्लामाबाद यूनाइटेड के लिए खेलने वाले थे, लेकिन उन्होंने कोलकाता नाइट राइडर्स में मुस्तफिजुर रहमान को रिप्लेस किया है. वहीं अब श्रीलंका क्रिकेट टीम के कप्तान दासुन शनाका ऐसे दूसरे खिलाड़ी बने हैं, जो PSL कॉन्ट्रैक्ट छोड़ आईपीएल में आ गए हैं. वो राजस्थान रॉयल्स को जॉइन करेंगे. आपको याद दिला दें कि पिछले सीजन PCB ने दक्षिण अफ्रीकी क्रिकेटर कॉर्बिन बॉश पर कार्यवाई की थी, जिन्होंने मुंबई इंडियंस को जॉइन कर लिया था.

PCB चेयरमैन की खुली धमकी

रविवार को मीडिया से वार्ता के दौरान मोहसिन नकवी ने कहा, “जहां तक अंतर्राष्ट्रीय खिलाड़ियों की बात है. देखिए इस बार PSL में कौन से खिलाड़ी खेलने आए हैं. हां , 2-3 खिलाड़ी छोड़कर भी गए हैं और हम उनके खिलाफ लीगल एक्शन लेने की तैयारी में हैं.”

इस बार IPL और PSL का आयोजन एक ही समय पर हो रहा है. दोनों लीगों के टकराव पर मोहसिन नकवी ने कहा कि आईपीएल के साथ टक्कर से ज्यादा असर नहीं पड़ेगा क्योंकि विश्व में प्रतिभाशाली खिलाड़ियों की भरमार है. आईपीएल के बावजूद कई इंटरनेशनल खिलाड़ी पीएसएल में खेलने आए हैं.

मोहसिन नकवी ने बताया कि PSL 2026 के मैच खाली मैदानों में खेले जाएंगे. उन्होंने मिडल ईस्ट में चल रहे युद्ध को इसका कारण बताया. PSL की शुरुआत 26 मार्च से होगी और फाइनल 3 मई को खेला जाएगा. दूसरी ओर 28 मार्च से IPL 2026 शुरू होने जा रहा है, लेकिन अभी तक बीसीसीआई ने पूरा शेड्यूल जारी नहीं किया है, इसलिए फाइनल की तारीख उजागर नहीं हुई है.

वायरल हो रहा पोस्ट

पिछले 24 घंटे में सोशल मीडिया पर एक पोस्ट को धड़ल्ले से शेयर किया गया है. इसमें मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स का हवाला देकर कहा गया कि विराट कोहली ने RCB मैनेजमेंट के सामने बहुत बड़ी मांग रखी है. दावा किया गया कि विराट चाहते हैं कि उनके लिए भारत और लंदन के बीच चार्टर्ड फ्लाइट की व्यवस्था की जाए.

यह भी दावा किया गया कि अगर किन्हीं 2 मैचों के बीच तीन या उससे ज्यादा दिन का अंतर होता है तो विराट वापस लंदन लौट जाएंगे और अगले मैच से ठीक पहले चार्टर्ड फ्लाइट में सवार होकर वापस भारत आ जाएंगे.

विराट कोहली ने दी प्रतिक्रिया

विराट कोहली ने सोशल मीडिया पर इसी वायरल पोस्ट का स्क्रीनशॉट शेयर किया और साथ में हंसने वाला इमोजी शेयर किया. विराट द्वारा शेयर किया गया इमोजी बयां कर रहा है कि इस फेक पोस्ट को देखकर वो खुद भी भरोसा नहीं कर पा रहे हैं.

IPL 2026 में रॉयल चैलेंजर्स अपने अभियान की शुरुआत 28 मार्च से करेगा, जहां बेंगलुरू के एम चिन्नास्वामी स्टेडियम में उसका मैच सनराइजर्स हैदराबाद से होगा. यह आईपीएल 2026 का सबसे पहला मैच भी होगा. बताया दें कि RCB आईपीएल 2025 की चैंपियन है और उसके ऊपर दबाव होगा कि वह अपने टाइटल का बचाव करे. अब तक के इतिहास में सिर्फ मुंबई इंडियंस और चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स लगातार 2 साल ट्रॉफी जीत पाई हैं.
