WhatsApp rolling out feature to let users share up to 100 media on iOS beta

Meta-owned messaging platform is reportedly rolling out a new feature which will allow users to share up to 100 media within the chats, on iOS beta.

With the new feature, beta users can now select up to 100 media in the media picker within the application, which was earlier limited to only 30, reports WABetaInfo.

This feature is useful as users will finally be able to share entire albums, making it easier to share memories and moments.

The ability to share up to 100 media within the chats is available for some beta testers after installing the latest update of beta for iOS from TestFlight app and is expected to roll out to more people over the coming days, the report said.

Last week, it was reported that the messaging platform was rolling out this feature on Android beta.

Meanwhile, was reportedly rolling out longer group subjects and descriptions on iOS beta, making it easier for users to better describe groups.

Microsoft plans to demo its new ChatGPT-like AI in MS Office: Report

Microsoft plans to demo its new ChatGPT-like AI in MS Office: Report

is reportedly planning to demonstrate its new Prometheus model to its core productivity apps such as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

In the coming weeks, will detail its productivity plans for integrating OpenAI’s language AI technology and its AI Model, reports The Verge, citing sources.

The company may make an announcement in March, highlighting how quickly wants to reinvent search and its productivity apps through its OpenAI investments.

Previous reports indicated that the GPT models were being tested in Outlook to improve search results, along with features like suggesting replies to emails and Word document integration to improve writing.

Moreover, the report said that the tech giant is moving quickly with this integration mainly because of Google.

Microsoft had planned to launch its new Bing AI in late February, but moved the date up to this week, just as Google was preparing to make its own announcements, the report mentioned.

Earlier this week, Microsoft introduced its new Bing powered by “next-generation” ChatGPT (AI), and also updated its Edge browser with new AI capabilities.

The AI-powered Bing search engine and Edge browser are now available for preview at Bing.com, to “deliver better search, more complete answers, a new chat experience and the ability to generate content”.

ChatGPT scores approximately 60% marks in US Medical Licensing Exam: Study

ChatGPT scores approximately 60% marks in US Medical Licensing Exam: Study

ChatGPT could score at or around the approximately 60 per cent passing threshold for the United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), with responses that made coherent, internal sense and contained frequent insights, according to a new study.

Tiffany Kung and colleagues at AnsibleHealth, California, US, tested ChatGPT’s performance on the USMLE, a highly standardized and regulated series of three exams, including Steps 1, 2CK, and 3, required for medical licensure in the US, the study said.

Taken by medical students and physicians-in-training, the USMLE assesses knowledge spanning most medical disciplines, ranging from biochemistry, to diagnostic reasoning, to bioethics.

After screening to remove image-based questions from the USMLE, the authors tested the software on 350 of the 376 public questions available from the June 2022 USMLE release, the study said.

The authors found that after indeterminate responses were removed, ChatGPT had scored between 52.4 per cent and 75 per cent across the three USMLE exams, the study published in the journal PLOS Digital Health said.

The passing threshold each year is approximately 60 per cent.

ChatGPT is a new artificial intelligence (AI) system, known as a large language model (LLM), designed to generate human-like writing by predicting upcoming word sequences.

Unlike most chatbots, ChatGPT cannot search the internet, the study said.

Instead, it generates text using word relationships predicted by its internal processes, the study said.

According to the study, ChatGPT also demonstrated 94.6 per cent concordance across all its responses and produced at least one significant insight, something that was new, non-obvious, and clinically valid, for 88.9 per cent of its responses.

ChatGPT also exceeded the performance of PubMedGPT, a counterpart model trained exclusively on biomedical domain literature, which scored 50.8 per cent on an older dataset of USMLE-style questions, the study said.

While the relatively small input size restricted the depth and range of analyses, the authors noted that their findings provided a glimpse into ChatGPT’s potential to enhance medical education, and eventually, clinical practice.

For example, they added, clinicians at AnsibleHealth already use ChatGPT to rewrite jargon-heavy reports for easier patient comprehension.

“Reaching the passing score for this notoriously difficult expert exam, and doing so without any human reinforcement, marks a notable milestone in clinical AI maturation,” said the authors.

Kung added that ChatGPT’s role in this research went beyond being the study subject.

“ChatGPT contributed substantially to the writing of [our] manuscript… We interacted with ChatGPT much like a colleague, asking it to synthesize, simplify, and offer counterpoints to drafts in progress… All of the co-authors valued ChatGPT’s input.

OPPO schedules Find N2 Flip foldable smartphone global unveiling for Feb 15

OPPO schedules Find N2 Flip foldable smartphone global unveiling for Feb 15

Chinese smartphone maker on Friday announced that it will introduce the Find N2 Flip, its maiden flip-style foldable smartphone, globally on February 15. said the Find N2 Flip is a culmination of five years of R&D that will bring together the best in foldable technology and design to create an inflexion point in the flip phone industry.

“The smartphone sets the standard for flip phones with its minimal, seamless design and compact dimensions that accentuate the largest-ever cover screen on a flip phone. Its bezel-free vertical display presents a large canvas to enable new user experiences, widgets, and a versatile viewfinder for photography enthusiasts to get creative,” said in a statement announcing the global unveiling details.

The OPPO Find N2 Flip global unveiling is scheduled for February 15 at 8 pm (IST). The event will livestream on the company’s official YouTube channel.

South Korean electronics maker Samsung is the only smartphone brand in India with a foldable device portfolio. If the OPPO Find N2 Flip arrives in India, it would be the direct competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 smartphone which was launched in the country last year. Samsung has been on the forefront in the foldable smartphone race and it has come a long way adding fineness to its devices. However, both its foldables show creases on the bendable screen that have been pointed out time and again.

Screen is one of the areas where OPPO seems to have upped the efforts and the result would be seen on the OPPO Find N2 Flip. The company said, “…the Find N2 Flip, designed ground up to push the boundaries of foldable phone design, sports an invisible crease for an enhanced user experience.”
