Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro may not feature 2 buttons for volume control

Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro may not feature 2 buttons for volume control

Tech giant Apple’s upcoming 15 Pro smartphone will reportedly not feature two buttons for volume control.

Leaked drawings of the upcoming smartphone show that the regular two volume buttons will be replaced by a single long one, reports AppleInsider.

It will likely give the 15 Pro greater water and dust resistance because the solid-state button needs a much smaller hole in the frame to work.

The upcoming 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are expected to be released in September this year, and will likely feature curved titanium sides and an EU-enforced USB-C charging port, the report said.

It was also rumoured that the tech giant will bring support for Wi-Fi 6E network to only iPhone 15 Pro models.

Last month, it was reported that the iPhone 15 Pro smartphone will come equipped with 8GB of RAM. For comparison, the iPhone 14 Pro models come equipped with 6GB of RAM.

However, the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus smartphones are expected to remain at 6GB of RAM, but might be upgraded to faster RAM.

WhatsApp brings dual panel interface for tablets running Android

WhatsApp brings dual panel interface for tablets running Android

The latest beta version of the end-to-end encrypted messaging service for has been rejigged as it features a dual panel interface for .

According to GSM Arena, a tech news-related website, what usually happens in these cases is that such new features get tested in the beta channel for a while, it can be weeks or even months, and then they eventually make it to everyone.

The two-panel UI makes a lot more sense on than just an enlarged version of the phone Design, so hopefully, the same reasoning will apply here.

Although it did not include the split view, the first version of that was compatible with was released for beta testers last year. Users can check out the new UI, which seems to be rolling out now for those in the beta program.

As per GSM Arena, unsurprisingly, the chat list is always visible on the left so you can quickly jump between conversations without the need to go back first. The split view is also available for the Calls and Status tabs.

Meanwhile, last month started rolling out picture-in-picture mode for video calls for iOS. According to the outlet, this feature, which WhatsApp first started testing last year, lets users open up other apps during video calls without any disruptions.

WhatsApp will reduce your video call to a small window that sits atop whichever app you go to, similar to FaceTime’s picture-in-picture mode. This enables you to participate in the call while looking up information online, reading a relevant book, or even playing a game.

ChatGPT cleared Google interviews but could not clear UPSC exam: Report

ChatGPT cleared Google interviews but could not clear UPSC exam: Report

OpenAI’s AI chatbot ChatGPT has failed to clear the Indian Civil Services Examination, conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), one of the toughest in the world, according to media reports on Saturday.

Launched in November 2022, the chatbot has gained immense popularity. It also cleared several exams in the US, including the US Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) and other MBA exams. It also managed to clear Google Coding Interview for Level 3 Engineers.

To check its proficiency, Bengaluru-based Analytics India Magazine subjected it to clear the Civil service exams with questions ranging from topics such as Geography, Economy, History, Ecology, General Science and current affairs.

The Magazine asked ChatGPT all the 100 questions from Question Paper 1 (Set A) from Prelims 2022.

“Only 54 of them were correctly answered by ChatGPT,” it reported.

Even as ChatGPT’s knowledge is limited to September 2021, questions on current events were not answered properly. However, ChatGPT also provided wrong answers for non time-specific topics such as Economy and Geography.

ChatGPT is designed to generate human-like writing by predicting upcoming word sequences. Unlike most chatbots, ChatGPT cannot search the internet. Instead, it generates text using word relationships predicted by its internal processes.

“ChatGPT is incredibly limited, but good enough at some things to create a misleading impression of greatness,” as per Sam Altman, chief executive at OpenAI.

Besides the exams, ChatGPT reportedly also failed terribly in an examination designed for sixth graders in Singapore.
